Sellers, Peter

Sellers, Peter
(1925-80)
   British actor. Born in Portsmouth, he worked at a seaside theatre in Devon. He then served in the Royal Air Force. After World War II, he began to work in comedy, and later on radio. With Spike Milligan and Harry Secombe he produced The Goon Show. He subse-quently appeared on film in The Ladykillers and I'm All Right Jack. By 1960 he was in Hollywood and appeared in Lolita, Dr Strangelove, The Pink Panther and What's New Pussycat?.
